The 2021 planting season was a big one for Vine-Works Ltd. There have been a lot of ‘firsts’ for the business. Vineyards in far flung locations across the UK, record year, vine deliveries in December, post-Brexit vine importing, UK plant passports and the first year ever that Vine-Works has run two planting teams.
Usually we contract our planting work to our German partners, Minges. They travel over to the UK each year in late April and plant until the first week of June. This year we not only had the Minges team, but our own JCB Fastrac and Wagner GPS planting system. This enabled us to fulfil our substantial order book in a timely manner whilst dodging the wet weather and keeping to our planting schedule.
There is a high demand for planting in the UK and we are delighted to be able to meet this head on each year with the expertise, personnel, and equipment. What will the planting rig do for the rest of the year? If you need a big long straight windbreak, give us a call.
