New Family Vineyard Trail
We have also launched a new Vineyard Trail in time for the school holidays to raise funds for Hospice in the Weald. A series of questions will be placed around the vines and once completed, participants can return to the Garden Cafe to claim their lollipop prize. The trail will run from Wednesday to Friday from Wednesday 19 July to Friday 1 September between 10am-3pm. There is a suggested donation of £2 per child and visitors can collect a map and answer sheet from The Garden Café before heading off into the vineyard to start the trail. The hospice have challenged local businesses to grow £50 donated by the charity. All money raised from the trail will be given to the Hospice.
Squerryes Summer Tours and Tastings are available all summer (subject to availability) from Friday to Sunday and continue until the harvest in October. The tours and tastings last approximately 90 minutes at a cost of £32 per person.
The experience begins with a guided tour of the vineyard where everyone can hear about the 300-year-old Squerryes estate, the fascinating history of the spirit of the house, and the story of how a disagreement with a French Champagne House led to the Warde family planting vines on the North Downs at the Gateway to the Garden of England. After discovering what makes Squerryes award-winning sparkling wine so exceptional. Guests will then enjoy a tutored tasting of three of the best vintage sparkling wines; the signature vintage Brut release, vintage Blanc de Blancs and late disgorged 2013 vintage Brut, which has had 10 years ageing in the cellars.
Squerryes also offers private tastings for groups of up to 25 people which includes a tasting of 3 sparkling vintage wines: the 2019 Rosé, Signature 2018 Brut, and 2015 Blanc de Blancs.
